Favorite Hobbies:Running with my dog Max, playing golf, reading, traveling to new places, upland game hunting, clay pigeon shooting, UK sports and St. Louis Cardinals, fishing at Lake Barkley, and hanging out with family & friends. 

Funniest/Most Memorable and/or Most Interesting Moment Experienced in Dentistry:  I really enjoy seeing kids that are completely happy when they leave the office.  Sometimes this involves a huge turnaround from when they first come into the office. One patient I had was an 8 year old girl that was completely terrified of the procedure that day.  She was with her dad and she initially ran completely out of the office and into the parking lot to avoid treatment.  Well, her dad convinced her to come back in and give it a try.  With some extra TLC and talking her through every step of the way, she ended up doing very well for the procedure. When we were finished, I got a big hug and a smile from her and she left a happy camper.  Times like these definitely make our profession very rewarding.

Funniest/Most Memorable and/or Most Interesting Moment Experienced in Dentistry: 
We have a wonderful lovable special needs patient that we see and he is always bringing us beautiful drawings and now that it is Christmas time he calls 20 min before his appt to remind us to turn on Christmas music.  While he is in the office he sings to us and makes everyone smile. He is quite a character and we just love him.

Funniest/Most Memorable and/or Most Interesting Moment Experienced in Dentistry:

I taught at the University of Louisvlle School of Dentistry for 7 years.  I loved the relationships I built there and enjoyed sharing those things that I am passionate about including special needs patients with handicaps.  One of my former students came to me recently and shared that he and his wife (also my student) have a 2 year old little boy with Down Syndrome.  He said he and his wife shared remembering my lecture on Down Syndrome in dental school and how I told them they were my favorite patients and how happy and joyful and pure spirited they are.  He said that he and his wife appreciated me planting that thought in their mind all those years ago because having their son with special needs has been the most joyous blessing of their lives.  Wow!  Touched me to the core.

2. Doesn't like to be called doctor because that sounds too adult; I'm a kid at heart.

4. A real life giraffe has been on my birthday list since I've been 5 years old. I might just have to move to Africa to make that dream come true.
